I got this idea from watching gilmore girls (of course, I know). I had seen memory boards around, but I liked the fact that the dragonfly had one that was in a picture frame, making it look all fancy.
cover a painters canvas with batting and then fabric. staple it all to the backside of the canvas. string the ribbon across the canvas, again stapling it to the back. insert brads at the intersections, making sure to go all the way through to the back of the canvas (a large craft needle is helpful to puncture a hole the entire thickness). place the canvas in the picture frame and tape them together on the backside.
